Salehe Bembury’s final round of New Balance 574 Yurt colourways recently released, and I picked up the Be A Spunge exclusive “Emerald Sky” colourway which I’m reviewing today. This reinvention of the 574 is given a trail and outdoor ready makeover, with a mix of mesh, hairy suede, reflective hits, and of course, the controversial whistle on the heel. In collaboration with Korean-based retailer Slow Steady Club, New Balance dropped a two-shoe 990 V5 set in late March. A few weeks ago, New Balance dropped a limited edition 991 in collaboration with Paperboy Paris and La MJC, coinciding with the launch of the 2021 edition of All Gone. Released through the in-store book launch by way of a “magic card” that was hidden in selected books randomly, these feature a white mesh, pink and tan suede combination. My review of one of the biggest drops to end off 2021 is here! James Whitner, A Ma Maniére and Jordan Brand’s collaboration on the Air Jordan 1 “Airness” gives the AJ1 an elevated makeover. A cracked leather upper is accented with burgundy coloured faux snakeskin overlays, and a quilted liner.
