Undefeated’s second installment of the Dunk vs. AF1 pack, consists of a Dunk and Air Force 1 that are inspired by the late 90s and early 00s when bold colours and materials began to be utilized on sneakers. Today I’m reviewing one of the most hyped releases of the year – the triple collaboration between Fragment Design, Travis Scott, and Jordan Brand on the Air Jordan 1 Low! Adopting a cooler colour scheme than the previous Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low, a simple white and black leather upper is complimented by hits of sail and military blue for a pop of colour. The signature oversized reverse swoosh adorns the lateral side of the shoe, while logos of all three are visible throughout the shoe. Check out my review and let me know what you think!
Clot and Nike recently released an Air Max 1 inspired by their 2006 collaboration, the “Solar Red” Kiss of Death Air Max 1! These differ from the originals by incorporating a mesh toe box, thin leather liners on the upper, and gold embroidery on the heel with Clot branding. With the originals being one of the most exclusive Air Max 1 releases ever, this year’s re-release was a welcome addition to many Air Max collectors out there!
To celebrate Union LA’s 30th anniversary, they linked up with Jordan Brand once again to release two new colourways of the Air Jordan 4. This “Tent & Trail” collection was headlined by the “Taupe Haze” colourway which channels the late 80s / early 90s fashion trend of the outdoors and camping gear. To celebrate Bodega’s 15th year anniversary, they collaborated with New Balance to release a Made in USA 990 V3! This pair is crafted using premium suedes in various earthy, olive and khaki tones. Considered a grail to many LeBron collectors, Nike brought back this 2011 classic recently, true to OG form. The “Miami Nights” colourway of the LeBron 8 Low features a gradient, tropical-like look with a full length Max Air cushioning set up. My newest New Balance pickup is the Kith collaboration on the 990 V2 in “Steel Blue”. Dropping back on April 30th, these are the third shoe in the five pair “Steel Blue” collection, featuring a similar make up of dark grey suede, pale blue mesh panels and light grey leather accents. The Nike SB Dunk Low “What The Paul” pays tribute to pro skateboarder, Paul Rodriguez, and his long standing relationship with Nike SB. Done in the patchwork / mismatching “What The” style, each shoe features different elements of some of P Rod’s past collaborations with Nike, ranging from iconic colourways of the P Rod 1 to P Rod 10, to the Nike SB Dunk High.
