Following a pre-order offered last July, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance’s latest 860 V2 collaboration finally began landing in consumers’ hands earlier this month. This three-shoe pack included the pair I’m reviewing today, which is covered in a neon yellow mesh with silver synthetic overlays – definitely a head turner. A few weeks back, Salehe Bembury released his limited collaboration with New Balance called “Heat Be Hot”. This pack consisted of two pairs of 1906R, one called “Magma”, and the one I’m reviewing today, the “Lava” colourway. This bold and bright pair features a gradient style mesh, silver layers, and a distressed looking midsole. Check out my video and let me know if you managed to score a pair of these as well!
Last year, Ronnie Fieg worked with Adidas Originals and Clarks to design and release the 8th Street Samba – a unique twist on this classic Adidas shoe. To close out the year, they released two new colourways on Christmas Day, one in White / Black, and the other a Multicoloured pair. A Ma Maniére and Jordan Brand close off 2023 with one final collab, this time a two-shoe Air Jordan 5 pack nicknamed “Dawn” and “Dusk”. Today I’ll be reviewing the “Dusk” pair, which is crafted using a black nubuck upper, with vintage detailing, and burgundy coloured accents. The first in his “By Invitation Only” style of releases, these are supposedly not going to be available in store nor online – but only to those who have a special QR code invitation to purchase via the Kith mobile app. Check out my review to get a closer look at one of the most beautiful colourways I’ve seen in a while! Last week, Kith released their special collaboration with Madison Square Garden, dropping two colourways of the New Balance 990 V6. Inspired by the teams that call MSG home, the pair I’m reviewing today draw inspiration from the team colours of the NHL’s New York Rangers. This Made in USA pair features a predominantly navy blue upper, with the Rangers’ signature red and blue hits seen throughout, along with an icy outsole as a nod to the sport. Colour Plus Companie released the final shoe in the three-shoe Grid Shadow 2 pack with Saucony. Inspired by arctic terrain, this shoe takes a 90s performance running shoe and turns it into more of a trail running shoe with its material and colour choices. The Size? x New Balance “Diamond District Pack” of 1906Rs released today, and I’ll be reviewing the “Green” colourway. This pair draws inspiration from vintage luxury watches, swapping out the traditional materials for more premium materials.
