Stone Island just dropped another collab with New Balance, bringing back the familiar 991 V2 silhouette. This three-shoe pack was inspired by the colours of Stone Island’s Ghost Pieces, monochromatic tones based on camouflage. New Balance is dropping a series of city exclusive colourways of their 991 V2 silhouette. Each pair is regional specific, and my favourite of the bunch is this “Spindle Tree” (Green) colourway which was available only at Starcow in Paris. One of the most highly anticipated general release colourways of the New Balance 991 V2 has arrived. The “Silver Blue / Turbulence” colourway has been making waves on social media as people have compared it to the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Inertia”. The pair I’m reviewing today is the “Yellow”, aka “Orange” colourway, which is crafted in a faded orange tone in a mix of pig suede, mesh and synthetic layers. New Balance and JJJJound recently dropped their latest collaboration, this time on the Made in UK 991 silhouette. Releasing in limited numbers, this pair features a beige-grey coloured suede and mesh upper, along with reflective 3M panels throughout. Simple, minimalistic, and true to JJJJound’s design ethos, these were a must have for many New Balance fans worldwide. A few weeks ago, New Balance dropped a limited edition 991 in collaboration with Paperboy Paris and La MJC, coinciding with the launch of the 2021 edition of All Gone. Released through the in-store book launch by way of a “magic card” that was hidden in selected books randomly, these feature a white mesh, pink and tan suede combination.
