To celebrate the 2024 Paris Olympics, New Balance dropped a collection available only at their La Marais store in Paris. Headlining this collection which was designed in part by artist Franck Pellegrino, was this 990 V6. This Made in USA model features a unique blend of colours, and the typical quality materials that New Balance is known for. Releasing on May 30th is a brand new colourway of the New Balance 993. Named “Sea Salt / Black”, this versatile colourway is built in a mix of white mesh, cream suede, and black overlays. New Balance is set to release a handful of incredible colourway of their 993 model. First up, releasing on April 25th is this “Chive” colourway which I managed to pickup early – featuring a bright green upper comprised of genuine suede, mesh, reflective panels and more. This Made in USA pair features cream, brown, and beige tones, drawing comparison to the “Mindful Grey” (Cream) general release pair from 2023. I didn’t get a chance to review these before the year ended, but this past December, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance teamed up again to release a three-sneaker pack inspired by the late 90s, drawing colours from the movie “Belly”. Today I’m reviewing the “Intro” colourway, which is crafted using black mesh with white-based suede and synthetic overlays. Check out my review and drop a comment below if you’re feeling them!
Last week, Kith released their special collaboration with Madison Square Garden, dropping two colourways of the New Balance 990 V6. Inspired by the teams that call MSG home, the pair I’m reviewing today draw inspiration from the team colours of the NHL’s New York Rangers. This Made in USA pair features a predominantly navy blue upper, with the Rangers’ signature red and blue hits seen throughout, along with an icy outsole as a nod to the sport.
