Asics recently released this fresh general release colourway of their popular Gel-Kayano 14 model. Named “Simply Taupe / Oatmeal”, it has a more premium feel with a tonal mesh and suede upper, in various shades of cream and beige. As part of Kith and Adidas Originals fall 2023 lineup, I picked up one of the shoes that released – the Rod Laver. Named after the Australian tennis great, this shoe dates back to the 70s and has been more of a cult classic sneaker that has retroed a few times throughout history. This new colourway for Kith though is clean, minimalistic, and perfect for those not looking to boldly display a company’s logo on their feet.
Australia’s HAL Studios recently dropped their final of three colourways of the Asics GEL-1130. Inspired by the natural world, this minimalistic colourway draws inspiration from the landscapes of glaciers, with a mix of off-white mesh, suede, and brown leathers. Size? and New Balance released an exclusive colourway of the 990 V3, just as the silhouette has been slowing down. This “Orange / Cream” colourway features beautiful, buttery suede, slick mesh, and reflective detailing throughout in a fall ready colour palette. New Balance’s newest lifestyle model has arrived – the WRPD Runner. This colourway is the “Sea Salt” pair, crafted out of a white knitted upper with shaggy grey suede layers, and cream coloured hits throughout. This running shoe inspired sneaker pairs white mesh with white leather, shaggy grey suede and reflective 3M accents. The upper sits atop a super chunky foam midsole for comfort.
