Inspired by New York City and the Statue of Liberty, this 2007 running shoe is given a lifestyle twist, with green, silver, and beige tones crafted in a mix of nubuck and synthetic materials. This pair draws inspiration from hot sauce, with a white mesh base, metallic silver “foil” like leather, and speckled red accents on the Swoosh, top eyelets and more. I recently picked up a pair of the New Balance 1906 Utility, also called the 1906N. This pair features a slightly different upper construction than your standard 1906R, with a mix of mesh, leather and synthetic layers. The beloved “Venice Beach” Kobe 8 made its return over a decade later, as it released in Protro form earlier this month. Staying relatively true to the original despite being marketed as a Protro, these feature a vibrant mesh upper, a drop in React foam midsole and an icy rubber outsole as well.
