Today I have the pleasure of welcoming Toronto-based graphic designer, Jazz Alba onto the show! Jazz went viral back in 2019 with his Simpsons-themed Toronto Raptor illustrations on Instagram and has amassed a large following in just a short time! In this episode we discuss his visual arts background, we talk about our shared love for The Simpsons, along with some Raptors-talk including who our five greatest Raps of all time are!
Recently I picked up a pair of the Kith x Nike collab on the Air Force 1, which celebrates New York City and its hometown NBA team, the Knicks. These released back in December of 2020, and it adopts the Knicks’ team colours of orange and blue, atop a clean, white leather base. Check out my review for an in-depth look!
Hopping on the show this week is Alex Wong, known as “Steven LeBron”, who is an author, NBA show host, and social media content producer, who’s work on basketball has been published in the NY Times, GQ, Complex, and much more. We dive into his love for sneakers, some memorable experiences with NBA stars like Serge Ibaka, and discuss his sudden career change from a CPA to becoming a freelance writer.
One of the greatest Kobe Bryant shoes of all time made its return this past Christmas Eve, in time for its 10th year anniversary. The “Grinch” Kobe 6 Protro dropped in limited numbers resulting in sell outs and “out of stocks” everywhere, showing how highly sought after this classic colourway is! Check out my review for a detailed look and breakdown and let me know if you guys managed to take home a pair or not!
My latest video covers one of the most anticipated LeBron shoes in a hot minute! A few weeks back, Nike released the LeBron 7 “Media Day”, which was the pair worn famously by James during the NBA Media Day in Sept 2019. Check out my review to learn more about these mismatching shoes, and a look at how they are on feet!
Another one of my pickups from last month’s NBA All-Star Weekend was the women’s Air Jordan 1 High in the “NC to Chi” colourway. Paying homage to Michael Jordan’s progression from a North Carolina Tar Heel, to the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, these feature incredible leather on the upper with power blue and red accents throughout. Check out my latest review to learn more!
Releasing worldwide during the NBA All-Star Weekend, the Air Jordan 3 gets the “Red Cement” treatment with the latest release officially nicknamed “Unite”! With a tumbled fire red coloured leather upper, and retooling to make this one of the closest to the OG Air Jordan 3s we’ve seen in a while, these were a must have for me! Share your thoughts down below if you plan to grab a pair on Feb 15th!

Concepts and Nike have teamed up once again for another ancient Egyptian themed Kyrie Irving sneaker – this time on the all-new Kyrie 6! Inspired by the Egyptian God, Khepri Ra, these incorporate a pink tinted upper with splashes of blue to really turn heads! This coming Friday, the Air Jordan 13 returns in a “LA Lakers” themed colourway. With a soft tumbled leather upper, purple suede hits, and accents of gold to tie it all together, these are a great looking sneaker – regardless of what NBA team you rep. Check out my review to see more!
