To celebrate Bodega’s 15th year anniversary, they collaborated with New Balance to release a Made in USA 990 V3! This pair is crafted using premium suedes in various earthy, olive and khaki tones. It’s accented with grey, blue and orange hits, for a very unique but unassuming look. Check out my review for a closer look, and big thanks to Bodega for sending over this pair to me!
South Central LA-based label, Bricks & Wood, joined forces with New Balance to release their first collab on the 57/40 model. This bold and unique collaboration dresses the shoe in deep green shaded suede, nubuck and leather, along with reflective accents throughout, and a chunky EVA foam midsole. Check out my detailed review and let me know if you’re feeling this release or not!
It seems like the New Balance 990 V3 is making a comeback, headlined first with their collaboration with Ronnie Fieg and Kith on the 990 V3 “Genesis”. Releasing earlier this month, this Made in USA pair is done in a combination of navy blue hits, black suede, and cream accents for a very classy, wearable and well put together look. In today’s video I’m counting down five of my favourite “no hype” sneakers for summer! This means pairs that are readily available, and not being resold for 2-3x their retail prices! You won’t need to break the bank to have a solid sneaker rotation this summer! Check out my recommendations and let me know what are your fave pairs to rock in the heat!
My newest New Balance pickup is the Kith collaboration on the 990 V2 in “Steel Blue”. Dropping back on April 30th, these are the third shoe in the five pair “Steel Blue” collection, featuring a similar make up of dark grey suede, pale blue mesh panels and light grey leather accents. Check out my review for an in-depth look, and let me know your thoughts on this pair!
My New Balance grail has been obtained! Thanks to StockX, earlier this month I picked up a pair of the Concepts x New Balance 999 “Hyannis” in the Blue colourway. This Made in US pair is a “remastered” take on the “Kennedy” 999, which was the first ever collab between New Balance and Concepts from back in 2011. Check out my review to learn about all the details and let me know what your all-time New Balance grail sneaker is down below!
This past Saturday, New Balance celebrated this year’s “Grey Day” by releasing the 57/40 model in a colourway inspired by the day itself. A reinvented take on the classic 574, this version is constructed using different materials in various shades of grey. Check out my review for an in-depth look at all the details and to see how they are on feet!
In today’s episode of the Channel 8 Podcast I’m talking all about New Balance – which models are my favourite (some which may surprise you), and the origins of my #IZBAK movement. Tune in to the show and be sure to share with me your favourite NB silhouettes as well!
