As New Balance is ready to shelve the 991 V1 model, they ended things with one final pack, aptly called the “Finale Pack”. Consisting of two colourways, these Made in England pairs include the pair I’m reviewing today – the “Delicioso” colourway, which features a perforated nubuck upper, brown suede overlays and an Abzorb midsole. As part of Aimé Leon Dore’s Spring / Summer ’24 collection, the brand quietly released this New Balance 990 V6 “Incense” to the surprise of many. This Made in USA pair features cream, brown, and beige tones, drawing comparison to the “Mindful Grey” (Cream) general release pair from 2023. New Balance and JJJJound released their second interpretation of the 2002R silhouette, this time made for the winter weather with Gore-Tex! Two colourways released earlier this month, one in “Charcoal”, and the one I’ll be reviewing – the “Pine” colourway. This waterproof version of New Balance’s ever-popular silhouette features black mesh and plush dark green suede that looks good and also is functional!
