My newest New Balance pickup is the Kith collaboration on the 990 V2 in “Steel Blue”. Dropping back on April 30th, these are the third shoe in the five pair “Steel Blue” collection, featuring a similar make up of dark grey suede, pale blue mesh panels and light grey leather accents. My New Balance grail has been obtained! Thanks to StockX, earlier this month I picked up a pair of the Concepts x New Balance 999 “Hyannis” in the Blue colourway. This Made in US pair is a “remastered” take on the “Kennedy” 999, which was the first ever collab between New Balance and Concepts from back in 2011. This past Saturday, New Balance celebrated this year’s “Grey Day” by releasing the 57/40 model in a colourway inspired by the day itself. A reinvented take on the classic 574, this version is constructed using different materials in various shades of grey.
