I recently picked up the “Sea Salt / Hot Mango” colourway on discount, and wanted to see what this silhouette was all about. This “Hike” colourway is crafted in a mix of textured suedes, faux hair, and snakeskin overlays, giving this basketball sneaker a ton of lifestyle flavour. Check out my review to learn more about it!
New Balance recently launched the Brights Revival pack of the 991 V2 silhouette – dropping two vibrant, bold colourways of their newest Made in England model. The pair I’m reviewing today is the “Yellow”, aka “Orange” colourway, which is crafted in a faded orange tone in a mix of pig suede, mesh and synthetic layers. A few weeks back, Salehe Bembury released his limited collaboration with New Balance called “Heat Be Hot”. This pack consisted of two pairs of 1906R, one called “Magma”, and the one I’m reviewing today, the “Lava” colourway. This bold and bright pair features a gradient style mesh, silver layers, and a distressed looking midsole. Check out my video and let me know if you managed to score a pair of these as well!
Earlier this week, Kith released their special collaboration with Madison Square Garden, dropping two colourways of the New Balance 990 V6. Inspired by the teams that call MSG home, the pair I’m reviewing today draw inspiration from the team colours of the NBA’s New York Knicks. This Made in USA pair features cream and grey base layers, along with the signature orange and blue that have made the Knicks one of the most recognizable sport franchises in the world. Inspired by the Japanese book, A Dictionary of Colour Combinations, this Nike SB Dunk Low features a vintage, aged looking suede upper in orange tones. blue and teal, along with a yellowed midsole and outsole. Releasing alongside another colourway in a similar theming, these released recently in skateshops which is where I picked these up from. What do you think of this pair – cop or drop?
Size? and New Balance released an exclusive colourway of the 990 V3, just as the silhouette has been slowing down. This “Orange / Cream” colourway features beautiful, buttery suede, slick mesh, and reflective detailing throughout in a fall ready colour palette. Headlining the Doernbecher Freestyle XVIII collection was my personal favourite, the Zoom Vomero 5, designer by Jaren Heacock. This pair drew inspiration from his Chinese roots, along with his love for his three siblings. Today I’m back with a review of Stephen Curry’s tenth signature sneaker – the Under Armour Curry Flow 10! This debut colourway, “Iron Sharpens Iron”, is crafted using UA Warp on the upper, along with UA Flow on the midsole and outsole, making it a very lightweight, breathable and quick shoe on the court.
