My latest pickup is a New Balance 998 that dropped in 2019. With a Parra “Amsterdam” vibe to them, these 998s are Made in USA, and feature a luxurious burgundy suede upper with teal and grey hits throughout. Part of the Air Jordan 1 City Pack, the “Paris” inspired Air Jordan 1 Low was a must have for me, and one of the nicest AJ1 Lows I’ve seen in a while! With a cool pastel coloured upper constructed out of leather, suede and nylon, these are going to be amazing for the upcoming summer season. Check out my detailed review to learn more!
Another one of my pickups from last month’s NBA All-Star Weekend was the women’s Air Jordan 1 High in the “NC to Chi” colourway. Paying homage to Michael Jordan’s progression from a North Carolina Tar Heel, to the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, these feature incredible leather on the upper with power blue and red accents throughout. New York-label, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance’s newest collaboration just released, featuring two pairs of New Balance 990s. The “New Species” Air Max 90 Premium dropped recently as a limited release, and these did not disappoint! One of the best collabs so far this year, NY-based label, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance joined forces to release a 997 collection, headlined by the “Mulberry Purple” colourway!
