Today I have the pleasure of welcoming Toronto-based graphic designer, Jazz Alba onto the show! Jazz went viral back in 2019 with his Simpsons-themed Toronto Raptor illustrations on Instagram and has amassed a large following in just a short time! In this episode we discuss his visual arts background, we talk about our shared love for The Simpsons, along with some Raptors-talk including who our five greatest Raps of all time are!
Hopping on the show this week is Alex Wong, known as “Steven LeBron”, who is an author, NBA show host, and social media content producer, who’s work on basketball has been published in the NY Times, GQ, Complex, and much more. We dive into his love for sneakers, some memorable experiences with NBA stars like Serge Ibaka, and discuss his sudden career change from a CPA to becoming a freelance writer.
Following their first NBA Title in June 2019, the Toronto Raptors and Adidas joined forces to release a commemorative AM4 model to celebrate this historic moment. Releasing only 613 pairs as a nod to the June 13th date the Title was clinched, these are a great piece to cap off any Raptors fans’ collection! Check out my latest review to see more, and to see how they look on feet!
To celebrate the Toronto Raptors’ first NBA Championship, New Balance released a pack of two shoes, headlined by the New Balance 997 done in retro Raptors’ red, purple and black! Though Kawhi has moved on to sunny Los Angeles, these are a must have for any sneaker & Raptors fan out there! Check out my review to learn more!
