The beloved “Venice Beach” Kobe 8 made its return over a decade later, as it released in Protro form earlier this month. Staying relatively true to the original despite being marketed as a Protro, these feature a vibrant mesh upper, a drop in React foam midsole and an icy rubber outsole as well. The latest Travis Scott x Nike collab dropped at the end of May with the Air Max 270 React ENG “Cactus Trails”. Talked about by the sneaker community, with both positive and negative reactions, these incorporate a vintage-looking, painted midsole and outsole, along with a multicolour mesh, nylon and TPU upper. Kendrick Lamar’s latest drop with Nike sees his take on the React Element 55 model! For this release, the nylon upper is patterned with a marble-like finish, and the React foam midsole has a grey and speckled black finish – similar to Cement print! Following the success of the React Element 87, Nike Sportswear has brought back a more budget-friendly version, with the React Element 55. Featuring a less premium upper, but with the same comfortable React Foam technology, these are a great option for those who aren’t able to get their hands on the 87s!
