To celebrate the opening of Kith’s Toronto location, they are releasing two Canadian-themed colourways of the New Balance 1700. Today I’m reviewing the “Rococco Red” colourway which was sold first in-store at Kith Toronto to coincide with their opening day. UNTD, the independent brand I’ve reviewed before that promotes love, unity and friendship in all their products, recently launched their newest model – the Harmony Runner. This running shoe inspired sneaker pairs white mesh with white leather, shaggy grey suede and reflective 3M accents. The upper sits atop a super chunky foam midsole for comfort. SoleSavy’s fifth custom sneaker, the SS5, recently were offered to members, limited to only 100 individually numbered pairs. Philadelphia-based Garrixon Studios took soles from white-on-white Air Force 1s and rebuilt the uppers entirely from scratch using premium red coloured suedes and nubucks. The “Chili” Air Max 1 from 2003 recently released thirty years later with slight changes to it. Built in typical Air Max 1 fashion, it’s crafted using a mix of meshes and synthetic suedes, and the simple colour blocking ensures it will be a very easy shoe to wear often. Bringing back a 2015 Gel-Lyte III colourway, Concepts and Asics reintroduced this familiar colourway earlier this month with the Gel-Lyte V “Libertea”. One of the original colourways of the Air Jordan 1 from 1985 returns next month in low cut form. The “Black Toe” colourway is crafted using a mix of premium white and black leather, as well as a more muted red leather on the heel. Taking us back to 1986, Nike is set to launch this Air Max 1 that pays homage to the originals which featured a larger Air bubble, chunkier midsole, and a different looking upper. Back in the 80s, the original pairs were recalled and redesigned / relaunched with the smaller Air unit that we know today, but this retro is a nod to one of the best little known stories surrounding the iconic Air Max lineage ever told.

Although they dropped earlier this year, here in Canada we finally got our shipments of the “Infrared” Air Jordan 4 recently.
