The classic Nike Air Max BW from 1991 is returning in the original “Persian Violet” colourway. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, these runners don’t have the same level of prestige or fame as some of its counterparts like the Air Max 1 or 90, but is still considered one of the most iconic Nike shoes from the early 90s. UK-based boutique, Offspring, recently released their latest Adidas collab on the ZX 9000. Inspired by their home city of London, this pair has a vintage, deconstructed feel to it, with various distressed materials like suede, and exposed foam throughout its construction. Nike dropped an “Animal Pack” of Dunk Lows last month, consisting of a zebra-inspired pair, and the pair I’m reviewing today – based off of a cheetah. Constructed in cream-coloured tones, a mix of leather and spotted suede cover the upper, while brown coloured accents finish the look. Canada sent me two pairs of the Adidas AS 240 – which are Size? exclusives set to release on Friday, July 16th to coincide with Size? opening up their first location in North America, in Toronto! This 1980s silhouette is releasing in two colourways, both featuring a soft black suede upper, but one incorporating orange leather hits while the other opts for scarlet red accents. New Balance kicked off their 990 Version series with the 990 V1, which celebrates the upcoming 40th anniversary of the model, which debuted back in 1982. This Made in USA pair is done in the classic grey colour scheme, but ruby red hits pay homage to its anniversary.
