Travis Scott and Jordan Brand returned today with a brand new colourway of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG. This women’s release is inspired by Scott’s high school colours of blue and yellow, and is built in a mix of tumbled leather, and smooth suede. Originally an Asia-exclusive colourway from 1996, the “Ivory Snake” Air Force 1 Low is seeing its second release in the last five years, as part of Nike’s Cult Classics program. One of the original colourways of the Air Jordan 1 from 1985 returns tomorrow. The “Shadow” Air Jordan 1 Low first released in 2015, but Jordan Brand has brought them back, featuring a leather and nylon upper in black and grey tones. Nike Basketball brought back this classic from 2011 – the Nike Kobe 6 “Italian Camo”. Built close to the original but tweaked in “protro” form, these feature a camo printed mesh upper, crimson accents, a full length Cushlon midsole, and Zoom Turbo under the forefoot. Capitalizing on the current trend of Y2K running shoes turned everyday sneakers, Nike relaunched the Air Pegasus 2005 model. This new colourway that released a few months ago features a mix of black, red and pink tones. Striking in colour as it is comfortable. Check out my review to learn more!
Releasing earlier this month was the women’s Air Jordan 4 “Vivid Sulfur”. A twists on the colour blocking of the Fire Red 4s, these opt for bold yellow tones atop a white leather base. The beloved “Venice Beach” Kobe 8 made its return over a decade later, as it released in Protro form earlier this month. Staying relatively true to the original despite being marketed as a Protro, these feature a vibrant mesh upper, a drop in React foam midsole and an icy rubber outsole as well. New Balance is dipping into their archives, going back to 1999 to bring back the 1000 silhouette. One of the first general release colourways is this one that I’m reviewing today in “Silver Metallic / Black”. A mesh upper is complimented with bold, silver synthetic leather layers, designed with a dynamic and fluid appearance.
