The beloved Air Jordan 1 “Royal” is back, but with a twist. These “Reimagined” Royals are crafted using a plush blue suede, with black nubuck layers instead of the traditional leather. As part of Kith and Adidas Originals fall 2023 lineup, I picked up one of the shoes that released – the Rod Laver. Named after the Australian tennis great, this shoe dates back to the 70s and has been more of a cult classic sneaker that has retroed a few times throughout history. This new colourway for Kith though is clean, minimalistic, and perfect for those not looking to boldly display a company’s logo on their feet.
