South Korean streetwear label, thisisneverthat, returned with another New Balance collaboration – this time creating their take on the popular 991 V2 model. As part of Kith’s Winter ’24 line, they dropped a couple of Asics collaborations, including the Gel-Kayano 12.1 that I’m reviewing today. This pair features cream mesh, with translucent TPU layers in a pale mint tone. The upper of this shoe is also paired with the tooling of the Gel-Nimbus 17, resulting in a mashup that is refreshingly new but still works. Joe Freshgoods and New Balance are back again, which is always a good thing. This time their latest collab features three colourways of Made in USA 993s, named the “Performance Art” pack. Opting for pastel colours, the trio of green, blue and pink are accented with grey mesh, and cream coloured laces and midsoles. California-based brand, Collegium, linked up with Richie Le to release a collection of two pairs of their signature Pillar Destroyer model. These were pre-ordered in May, manufactured in Italy, and landed in my hands this week.
