As part of Kith’s Winter ’24 line, they dropped a couple of Asics collaborations, including the Gel-Kayano 12.1 that I’m reviewing today. This pair features cream mesh, with translucent TPU layers in a pale mint tone. The upper of this shoe is also paired with the tooling of the Gel-Nimbus 17, resulting in a mashup that is refreshingly new but still works. Jordan Brand continues their “Reimagined” series with the release of the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe”. Mimicking the look of the prototype version without the iconic “Wings” logo, this pair features quality leathers on the upper in the classic red, white and black make up. Travis Scott and Jordan Brand are back with another Air Jordan 1 Low. This familiar looking colourway, “Medium Olive”, was seen in last year’s women’s release, but this version features more olive tones with black accents instead of the inverse for last year’s. The incredibly popular “Dark Mocha” Air Jordan 1, which dropped first in 2020 as a high top, returns later this week as a Low. Featuring the same look with a sail leather base, black leather overlays and dark mocha coloured nubuck, these are the perfect shoe to wear in the fall months ahead!
Earlier this month Nike dropped a brand new colourway of the Air Max 1. This pair draws inspiration from hot sauce, with a white mesh base, metallic silver “foil” like leather, and speckled red accents on the Swoosh, top eyelets and more. Travis Scott’s first signature sneaker by Jordan Brand is here – the Jumpman Jack Trainer. Today, I got my hands on the first colourway to widely release – the “Sail / Dark Mocha” edition. These sneakers feature premium materials, with a design obviously rooted in Nike trainers from the late 80s and early 90s. Following the release of the OG “White / Blue” colourway, Nike released this special edition colourway on Air Max Day, 3.26, inspired by a similar release from a decade ago. Slapping on volt hits on the midsole and tongue, these also have 3.26 branding on the tongue – ensuring they stand out on the streets. The newest Nike Air Max model has arrived – the Air Max DN. Featuring Dynamic Air technology, it is built to give the wearer a more dynamic feel underfoot, with a massive, two chamber, four tube Air unit in the heel which features two distinct pressure levels.
