Summer is fast approaching and Nike SB recently dropped a tropical, Hawaii-themed Dunk High that I’m reviewing today! Also known as the “Maui Wowie” colourway, the floral upper is removable exposing a secondary design of green suede and orange hits beneath! Baltimore-based skate brand, Carpet Company, launched their first collab with Nike SB, with the Dunk High model being the marquee item in their debut collection. These Dunks incorporate a removable outer blue layer that reveals a secondary design underneath. Unique touches make it true to the Carpet Company spirit throughout the shoe. I picked up one of the cleanest looking SB Dunk Highs to release this year from StockX, and finally got them in hand for the review! The Atlas x Nike SB Dunk High “Lost At Sea” is inspired by the Great Spill of 1990 where a storm caused over 60,000 Nike shoes to be lost in the Pacific Ocean, only to wash up on shore later on. These feature a washed out, cracked look to them, and are another beautifully executed Dunk in this Dunk crazed year of 2020.
