Sacai and Nike’s latest collab, the Vaporwaffle, sees the mashup of two shoes once again – this time the Air Pegasus from 1983, with the Nike Vaporfly from the modern era. Releasing in two colours, I picked up the “Sail / Sport Fuchsia” pair, which has a strong retro vibe that reminds me of the Nike Cortez. One of the best SB Dunks to release this year, my latest review covers the “J-Pack Chicago” colourway which draws its inspiration from the iconic “Chicago” Air Jordan 1. The Adidas “A to ZX” collection continues with a pair I was very excited for: the ZX 8000 in collaboration with both BAPE and Undefeated! Originally released as a 3000 pair Japan-exclusive back in 2001, the “Midnight Navy” Air Jordan 1 made its return a few weeks back! Changing things up from your typical Jordan 1, with oval laces, a leather tongue and a non-traditional Nike Air embroidery on the tongue, these are still beauties to me, and a pair I was very excited to pick up. A very clean overall look, these incorporate hits of aged / vintage looking colours across the midsole for added personality, while the upper stays minimalistic with white leather, suede and mesh. One of the most celebrated and iconic sneakers of all time made its return for the first time since 2015. The Air Max III (or as it’s more commonly referred to as the Air Max 90) released last week in its original colourway to much anticipation from sneakerheads worldwide. Built as closely to the originals from 1990 as possible, these incorporate mesh, suede and leather with a recrafted shape creating a very sleek appearance overall.
