Originally released in 2007, the “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 3 finally made its return when they released this past Saturday! Featuring a grey nubuck upper, with the signature elephant print, and hits of orange and red for contrast, these are one of my top releases so far in 2021. Chicago-based boutique’s first ever collaboration with Nike dropped at the end of January. Releasing two Dunk Hi colourways, these were inspired by traditional workwear, and the rugged, hardworking attitudes of Midwesterners. The quintessential Adidas 80s basketball shoe has returned! The Forum 84 High was retroed in “OG” form in late December, featuring the signature white and blue look. Worn famously by Michael Jordan during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic trails, these were the Three Stripes’ marquee basketball sneaker of that era. Done in a greyscale finish, this Made in USA pair features premium suedes, and the overall colour blocking was perfect! Gaining a lot of buzz because of its similarities to the Travis Scott Air Jordan 4 Friends & Family release, these incorporate a mix of premium suede, mesh and cracked leather in a versatile tan-hued shade. UK retailer, End Clothing, teamed up with New Balance to release the 1500 “Rainbow Eucalyptus”. This special tree, native to Southeast Asia, is known for its rainbow coloured bark, and this sneaker draws inspiration from this in its release. Swedish-based boutique, Sneakersnstuff, teamed up with Adidas in late 2020 to release their take on the Ultra4D model! Nicknamed “Green Teatime” for its greenish shade, these look similar to the earlier collab, the “Tee Time” Ultraboost, but incorporating Adidas 4D technology in the midsole instead of Boost.
