Originally released in 2007, the “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 3 finally made its return when they released this past Saturday! Featuring a grey nubuck upper, with the signature elephant print, and hits of orange and red for contrast, these are one of my top releases so far in 2021. Chicago-based boutique’s first ever collaboration with Nike dropped at the end of January. Releasing two Dunk Hi colourways, these were inspired by traditional workwear, and the rugged, hardworking attitudes of Midwesterners. Menswear label Todd Snyder’s latest collab with New Balance is the 992 “From Away”. Taking the ever popular model, it incorporates its own unique twist with a duck camo printed canvas base layer, with tan suede and leather accents on top. Releasing alongside the “Dark Olive” colourway, these dropped just ahead of Valentine’s Day, and I managed to take a W at the Stussy Toronto store. Returning true to OG form, the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” is set to return this Saturday, February 13th. Worn famously by MJ during the first half of the 1991-1992 NBA season, these feature a bold deep red nubuck upper with white leather overlays. Be sure to grab your pair in Canada from The Closet Inc.!
One of the most anticipated shoes so far of 2021, the original “Neutral Grey” colourway of the Air Jordan 1 high finally returns tomorrow, February 10th. Last seen in 1985, these are crafted in the remastered “85” form, which Nike claims is a closer reproduction to the original Air Jordan 1 silhouette than its normal retro releases.
