My New Balance grail has been obtained! Thanks to StockX, earlier this month I picked up a pair of the Concepts x New Balance 999 “Hyannis” in the Blue colourway. This Made in US pair is a “remastered” take on the “Kennedy” 999, which was the first ever collab between New Balance and Concepts from back in 2011. This past Saturday, New Balance celebrated this year’s “Grey Day” by releasing the 57/40 model in a colourway inspired by the day itself. A reinvented take on the classic 574, this version is constructed using different materials in various shades of grey. A familiar colourway returns with a twist! The Air Jordan 1 released this past Saturday in the “Shadow 2.0” colourway. Drawing similarities to the OG Shadows from 1985, this one flips the colour blocking with a black leather base with overlays of grey nubuck, in the “Chicago” colour block style. Sacai and Nike are back with another colourway of the Vaporwaffle. Mashing up the Air Pegasus from 1983, with the Nike Vaporfly from the modern era, this colourway is dressed in a beautiful “Sesame” hue with hits of blue to accent its look. BAPE and Adidas dropped their collaboration on the classic Superstar, last week. Featuring the iconic ABC Camo print all over the upper, the shoe is accented with premium leather, metallic dubraes, and co-branding throughout.
