My latest Air Jordan 1 pickup is the women’s “Metallic Court Purple” pair that dropped last week! Inspired by the OG 1985 release, this pair incorporates a soft, tumbled leather, and slight variations compared to the original including a satin liner and a leather tongue. My newest New Balance pickup is the Kith collaboration on the 990 V2 in “Steel Blue”. Dropping back on April 30th, these are the third shoe in the five pair “Steel Blue” collection, featuring a similar make up of dark grey suede, pale blue mesh panels and light grey leather accents. Dropping on June 3rd is the “Michigan” Dunk Low by Nike. Although we saw the high top versions release already last year, this iconic colorway returns in low top form to much anticipation. The next Nike Kobe shoe set to release is the Kobe 6 Protro “Playoff Pack”. Originally releasing in April 2011, a decade later Nike Basketball is bringing them back in Protro form. Featuring a colour base of white, black and yellow, these were a must for me given its wearability and overall clean look. These release in North America on June 3rd, so let me know if you are going to be trying for them!
The Nike SB Dunk Low “What The Paul” pays tribute to pro skateboarder, Paul Rodriguez, and his long standing relationship with Nike SB. Done in the patchwork / mismatching “What The” style, each shoe features different elements of some of P Rod’s past collaborations with Nike, ranging from iconic colourways of the P Rod 1 to P Rod 10, to the Nike SB Dunk High. An Air Jordan 11 classic from 2001 made its return earlier this month, with the women’s “Citrus” low-top colourway! The perfect summer shoe, these feature both white coloured soft smooth leather along with the signature patent shiny leather, and bold orange hits throughout! This past Saturday, New Balance celebrated this year’s “Grey Day” by releasing the 57/40 model in a colourway inspired by the day itself. A reinvented take on the classic 574, this version is constructed using different materials in various shades of grey. A familiar colourway returns with a twist! The Air Jordan 1 released this past Saturday in the “Shadow 2.0” colourway. Drawing similarities to the OG Shadows from 1985, this one flips the colour blocking with a black leather base with overlays of grey nubuck, in the “Chicago” colour block style.
