Worn famously by MJ during the first half of the 1991-1992 NBA season, these feature a bold deep red nubuck upper with white leather overlays. These look like they leapt straight from the TV screen with a cartoon-like appearance, incorporating bold colours and a variety of materials. One of the most anticipated shoes so far of 2021, the original “Neutral Grey” colourway of the Air Jordan 1 high finally returns tomorrow, February 10th. Last seen in 1985, these are crafted in the remastered “85” form, which Nike claims is a closer reproduction to the original Air Jordan 1 silhouette than its normal retro releases. Celebrating the upcoming Lunar New Year, the New Balance 920 returns in a bold red and gold upper to ring in the Year of the Ox. This Made in England pair was a limited release and features premium materials with small touches throughout as a nod to the upcoming holiday. Looking like a yellowed-out version of the original Wave Runner pair, these incorporate vibrant tones including yellow and orange for a very eye catching look. UK retailer, End Clothing, teamed up with New Balance to release the 1500 “Rainbow Eucalyptus”. This special tree, native to Southeast Asia, is known for its rainbow coloured bark, and this sneaker draws inspiration from this in its release. Swedish-based boutique, Sneakersnstuff, teamed up with Adidas in late 2020 to release their take on the Ultra4D model! Nicknamed “Green Teatime” for its greenish shade, these look similar to the earlier collab, the “Tee Time” Ultraboost, but incorporating Adidas 4D technology in the midsole instead of Boost. My newest Nike SB pickup is the “Court Purple” SB Dunk Low, which mimics the colour blocking of the “Black Toe” Air Jordan 1, but replaces the signature red, with purple.
