One of the wildest, most original releases in a while, today I’m unboxing and reviewing the Concepts collaboration with Nike SB on the Dunk High Pro “Turdunken”! Today I’m back with another New Balance 2002R review! This time I’m covering the collaboration with Korean streetwear label, thisisneverthat in the “White / Ivory” colourway. A very clean overall look, these incorporate hits of aged / vintage looking colours across the midsole for added personality, while the upper stays minimalistic with white leather, suede and mesh. One of the most celebrated and iconic sneakers of all time made its return for the first time since 2015. The Air Max III (or as it’s more commonly referred to as the Air Max 90) released last week in its original colourway to much anticipation from sneakerheads worldwide. Built as closely to the originals from 1990 as possible, these incorporate mesh, suede and leather with a recrafted shape creating a very sleek appearance overall. Versace’s VP of Footwear, Salehe Bembury, teamed up with New Balance to release his first collab with the 2002R model! This pair is inspired by the outdoors and takes the colours of Antelope Canyon as its palette. With mixed materials like hairy suede, mesh, and leather, these are a visually striking pair that has the community talking. Check out my review for a closer look!
My latest review covers another SB Dunk Low, this one inspired by the iconic Atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant”. With elephant print found throughout, along with a teal patent leather swoosh, Nike did a great job incorporating the design of the Air Max 1 onto the Dunk silhouette. New Balance recently released the 2002R, an updated take of the New Balance 2002 model that originally dropped back in 2010. I picked up the “Bone” colourway, which consists of an off-white coloured mesh and pigskin suede upper, along with reflective 3M hits and leather. I recently picked up another New Balance 992, this time in the Navy (M992GG) colourway! This Made in USA incorporates a deep navy blue suede and mesh upper, with reflective 3M hits rounding out the design. The highly anticipated Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha” finally landed in Canada, and The Closet Inc. is raffling off their pairs through a SMS phone raffle.
