New Balance’s newest variation on their 1906 model is here – the 1906A. This version takes the tradition components of the upper and warps them, like overhanging N-Lock straps, and panels that are seemingly coming off the shoe’s upper. New Balance is dipping into their archives, going back to 1999 to bring back the 1000 silhouette. One of the first general release colourways is this one that I’m reviewing today in “Silver Metallic / Black”. A mesh upper is complimented with bold, silver synthetic leather layers, designed with a dynamic and fluid appearance. The New Balance “Refined Future” treatment returned recently on four pairs of the 1906R silhouette. Featuring that recognizable torn-up upper look, this “Castlerock” colourway opts for various shades of grey on the upper, contrasted against a cream coloured Abzorb midsole.
