To celebrate the Kayano-line’s 30th anniversary, Asics released this mashup model, the Gel-Kayano Legacy, consisting of elements from 8 past Kayano silhouettes. Releasing a couple months ago as a Kith in-store exclusive, the Asics GT-2160 dropped in two Kith-exclusive colourways, including this one in “Cream / Solar Power”. This 2011-performance running shoe is now back as one of Asics’ mainstream lifestyle sneakers, featuring a mix of cream coloured mesh and synthetic silver and yellow coloured overlays. Bringing back a 2015 Gel-Lyte III colourway, Concepts and Asics reintroduced this familiar colourway earlier this month with the Gel-Lyte V “Libertea”. Highsnobiety teamed up with Saucony to release two colourways of the 2007-released running shoe – the Progrid Triumph 4. Today, I’m reviewing the “Silver / Multi” colourway which has that 2000s era aesthetic, with a white mesh base, silver synthetic overlays, and neon coloured hits. Aimé Leon Dore’s take on the New Balance 650R model finally arrived after preordering these last summer. Nearly identical to its lowcut 550 cousin, these feature the same premium smooth leather, cracked leather New Balance “N” logos, vintage coloured midsoles, and Ortholite insoles. I recently hit up a New Balance sample sale and came away with these “Glow in the Dark” Made in UK 920s! Supposedly set to drop in a pack alongside other models like the 1500, these 920s are constructed out of silver leather and mesh, black nubuck overlays, and glow in the dark accents on the outsole and upper.
