Comme Des Garçons Homme released two colourways of the New Balance 1906R late last year, one of which I’m reviewing today. The “White” colourway features white mesh with genuine leather overlays, contrasted against a solid black midsole and heel cup. JJJJound released their elevated take on the Adidas Samba late last month – but it wasn’t without controversy. Advertised as a “Made in Germany” shoe, it came to light that the pairs were actually largely manufactured in Vietnam, with only the finishing touches actually done in the European country instead. Following the release of the OG “White / Blue” colourway, Nike released this special edition colourway on Air Max Day, 3.26, inspired by a similar release from a decade ago.
