The original “Lightning” colourway of the Air Jordan 17 Low finally received its first retro, as Jordan Brand brought them back in late May just a few weeks ago. Staying true to what MJ wore in the 2002 NBA All-Star Game, it features a soft white leather, chrome detailing, and striking yellow along the TPU on the midsole. As part of their Spring / Summer 2024 line, Wales Bonner teamed up with Adidas to release a collection of footwear and apparel, inspired by the legacy of East African runners. Today I’m reviewing a Samba from this collection, crafted out of nylon in the “Desert White” colourway. Accompanied with premium leather and suede, hints of blue add some pop to this otherwise understated model!
Releasing on May 30th is a brand new colourway of the New Balance 993. Named “Sea Salt / Black”, this versatile colourway is built in a mix of white mesh, cream suede, and black overlays. Capitalizing on the popularity of the silhouette, Nike recently released this special edition version of their Zoom Vomero 5 model. Releasing in womens sizing, this pair incorporates throwback Nike design details and swaps out the typical synthetic materials for genuine leathers and suedes. Travis Scott and Jordan Brand returned today with a brand new colourway of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG. This women’s release is inspired by Scott’s high school colours of blue and yellow, and is built in a mix of tumbled leather, and smooth suede. Originally an Asia-exclusive colourway from 1996, the “Ivory Snake” Air Force 1 Low is seeing its second release in the last five years, as part of Nike’s Cult Classics program. Staying true to its original form, a white leather upper is paired with a gold faux snakeskin Swoosh and heel tab. Check out my review on this pair and leave your opinions down below! Canadian abstract artist, Callen Schaub, just launched his first ever collaboration with Saucony. Releasing two pairs on May 6th, today I’m reviewing one of the two – the Shadow 6000. Taking the 1991 retro runner, this colourway is crafted using smooth white leather and black mesh and suede. However it infuses Schaub’s artwork onto the side panels for an overall muted but still unique look. Huge thanks to Saucony Canada for sending over these!
