Releasing earlier this month was the latest collab between Kith and New Balance. Dropping two pairs, this release consisted of a New Balance 1000, and the pair I’m reviewing today – the 990 V4. This “Moonrock” colourway features a dark beige mesh and suede upper, with cream accents and reflective detailing. And as always, it is made in New Balance’s USA factories. Kith teamed up with Marvel and Asics to release a special “Marvel Villains” collection, consisting of apparel, accessories and five limited edition sneakers. Today I’m reviewing the Venom themed Asics GT-2160 which was part of a two-shoe Battle Spectra Pack, alongside the Spider-Man colourway. The incredibly popular “Dark Mocha” Air Jordan 1, which dropped first in 2020 as a high top, returns later this week as a Low. Featuring the same look with a sail leather base, black leather overlays and dark mocha coloured nubuck, these are the perfect shoe to wear in the fall months ahead!
Minted New York and Saucony collaborated for the first time, releasing this ProGrid Triumph 4. Inspired by New York City and the Statue of Liberty, this 2007 running shoe is given a lifestyle twist, with green, silver, and beige tones crafted in a mix of nubuck and synthetic materials. I recently picked up a pair of the New Balance 1906 Utility, also called the 1906N. This pair features a slightly different upper construction than your standard 1906R, with a mix of mesh, leather and synthetic layers. As part of Aimé Leon Dore’s Spring / Summer ’24 collection, the brand quietly released this New Balance 990 V6 “Incense” to the surprise of many. This Made in USA pair features cream, brown, and beige tones, drawing comparison to the “Mindful Grey” (Cream) general release pair from 2023. New Balance and JJJJound released their second interpretation of the 2002R silhouette, this time made for the winter weather with Gore-Tex! Two colourways released earlier this month, one in “Charcoal”, and the one I’ll be reviewing – the “Pine” colourway. This waterproof version of New Balance’s ever-popular silhouette features black mesh and plush dark green suede that looks good and also is functional!
