Inspired by the Japanese book, A Dictionary of Colour Combinations, this Nike SB Dunk Low features a vintage, aged looking suede upper in red tones and teal, along with a plum coloured midsole and outsole. Releasing alongside another colourway in a similar theming, these released recently in skateshops which is where I picked these up from. What do you think of this pair – cop or drop?
Celebrating the X-Men’s 60th Anniversary, Kith teamed up with Marvel and Asics to release 7 different colourways of the Gel-Lyte III, each representing different iconic X-Men characters. This running shoe inspired sneaker pairs white mesh with white leather, shaggy grey suede and reflective 3M accents. The upper sits atop a super chunky foam midsole for comfort. Afew teamed up with Diadora to release this special edition B.560, honouring Dino Russo, a talented tennis player who many never heard of because he chose to not turn pro. This made in Italy sneaker features thick, tumbled leather, buttery suede, and vintage distressing throughout the midsole. Collegium is back with their latest silhouette – the Pillar Trail. Debuting in the “Sequoia” colourway, this shoe is suitable for both the streets and in nature. But while its colourway is reminiscent of classic ACG vibes, the materials are elevated, utilizing premium Italian leathers, suedes and nubucks. Canadian streetwear brand, Raised by Wolves, is back with their second collaboration with Saucony in 2023. Inspired by the look of a wolf, the Grid Azura 2000 is built using a mix of genuine suedes, ripstop nylon, and reflective 3M layers reminiscent of a wolf’s teeth. SoleSavy’s fifth custom sneaker, the SS5, recently were offered to members, limited to only 100 individually numbered pairs. Philadelphia-based Garrixon Studios took soles from white-on-white Air Force 1s and rebuilt the uppers entirely from scratch using premium red coloured suedes and nubucks.
