Salehe Bembury’s next round of New Balance collabs recently released, with his reinvented take on the 574, named the 574 Yurt. I picked up the classic grey or “Shark Skin” colourway, which has a tonal look but incorporates a mixed bag of materials including suede, leather and mesh, and a very unique functional whistle found on the heel. New Balance continued with their 990 Version series with the 990 V3, which originally released back in 2012. This Made in USA pair is done in the classic grey colour scheme, but ruby red hits pay homage to the 990 V1’s upcoming 40th anniversary. The follow up to last year’s “Peace Be The Journey” collaboration between New Balance and Salehe Bembury has arrived! Working together on the same silhouette, the 2002R, this one is inspired by Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon, and opts for cooler tones of teal and green with a variety of materials like shaggy suede, mesh and leather.
