It’s 1988 all over again. The “True Blue” 3, one of the model’s first colourways to release, is back for the first time after the last retro from a decade ago. This year’s version is crafted with solid materials, improved shape, with a true-to-OG design. One of the original colourways of the Nike Air Max 95 recently returned in “Big Bubble” form. The OG “Slate” colour dropped back in May in all its glory – white mesh and leather, leather panels in a blue gradient finish, and emerald hits to finish the look. Earlier this month, Jordan Brand released a new colourway of the Air Jordan 1 Low. This pair mixes nubuck with cracked leather, along with a textured green Swoosh and a gum rubber outsole to complete the look. Nike twisted the truth, spinning the reality of rookie MJ being fined for rocking the Nike Air Ships into the ultimate marketing campaign for the Bred 1s. On May 2nd, Jordan Brand is dropping the “Banned” Air Jordan 1 in low top form for the first time, including similar touches seen on the 2011 high cuts like the glossy “X” and slogans. Almost a decade since it last retroed, Jordan Brand finally brought back the “White / Red” Air Jordan 13s again earlier last week. This original colourway, once worn by MJ himself in his final season with the Bulls, is back in all its glory with tumbled white leather, strikingly bold red layers, and “Black Cat” inspired references that the AJ13 is known for. This new colourway of the Air Jordan 4 is inspired by the Air Jordan Flight Club – a mail-in membership program for diehard MJ fans during the late 80s and early 90s.
