2023 marks the twentieth anniversary of LeBron James’ first ever signature sneaker by Nike – the Air Zoom Generation. Releasing earlier this month was this greyscale version, opting for more premium materials with a mix of buttery suede and nubuck. Nike recently released a couple of slides, inspired by the look of the iconic Air Max 1. Releasing in two colourways, I picked up both to review, each crafted using a mix of mesh, suede, foam, and of course, the signature visible Air bubble on the heel. The beloved “Thunder” Air Jordan 4 is set to release for the third time in the colourway’s history, with the worldwide release on May 13th! This colourway originally released in 2006, and it features a black nubuck upper, with yellow and white accents throughout resulting in a bold, striking, and unforgettable look. Inspired by the 2003 pack of the same name, Nike Sportswear released the “Shima Shima” Air Max 1 in “Plum Eclipse” earlier this year with that signature striped pattern on the inner liner. To kick off April, Jordan Brand dropped a brand new colourway of the Air Jordan 11 Low model – in “Cement Grey”. The low top version of the Air Jordan 11 features a grey patent leather, along with crisp white mesh on the upper, and subtle hits of university blue throughout. Nicknamed “Craft”, this pair changes things up a bit incorporating a mix of materials like hairy suede, cracked leather and premium smooth leather, alongside additions like added stitching on the toebox, and embossed suede instead of netting.
