This year’s version is crafted with solid materials, improved shape, with a true-to-OG design. Two pink-focused colourways of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low dropped at the end of May, and today I’m reviewing the “Shy Pink” pair. This low top features an upper built out of nubuck and tumbled leathers, in various shades of cream and pink. Cactus Jack and Jumpman co-branding share the spotlight as well. Earls Collection, founded by former pro-rugby player Lewis Brown, released their second collaboration with Asics earlier this month. This pair is inspired by Brown’s upbringing, the concept of home, and translates it perfectly onto the Gel-Cumulus 16 model. What a way to start the year! Saucony linked up with Sneaker Politics to release a special version of the Progrid Omni 9. This pair draws inspiration from the diverse landscapes of Louisiana (where Sneaker Politics was founded), opting for a variety of materials, textures and tones. Five years after they first retroed, Jordan Brand is bringing back the “Black Cat” Air Jordan 4. This year’s version features a genuine nubuck upper, with blacked out details including a plastic heel tab now with Nike Air branding. Check out my video for an in-depth breakdown!
Action Bronson dropped his newest project with New Balance, for the first time reimagining the beloved 992 model. As if 2025 couldn’t get crazier, Nike and Tom Sachs officially dropped the Mars Yard 3.0, the third iteration of the NikeCraft outer space inspired sneaker. This pair retains the soul of the first two in the familiar colour scheme but adopts some upgrades including added overlays for durability and a carbon fibre shank plate.
