These shoes are trash! The Nike Space Hippie Collection dropped in North America yesterday, and I managed to grab three of the four pairs for an in-depth review of them! Utilizing recycled materials like plastic water bottles, old t-shirts scraps and grinded rubber from old Nike shoes, these are an amazing display by Nike of creating something that not only looks dope, but functions well, out of leftover waste materials. The follow up to the original “Animal Instinct” Air Jordan 3 from December, last week we saw the 2.0 version drop worldwide. Featuring various faux animal leathers on its upper like croc, snake and ostrich, these model itself after the classic “Black Cement” colourway but in an elevated, premium way. Collaborating with menswear label Casablanca, these dropped in the end of April in two colourways, both constructed with premium touches with a retro flair. The latest Travis Scott x Nike collab dropped at the end of May with the Air Max 270 React ENG “Cactus Trails”. Talked about by the sneaker community, with both positive and negative reactions, these incorporate a vintage-looking, painted midsole and outsole, along with a multicolour mesh, nylon and TPU upper.
