Nike Air Max 1 ’86 OG “Big Bubble” Review

Taking us back to 1986, Nike is set to launch this Air Max 1 that pays homage to the originals which featured a larger Air bubble, chunkier midsole, and a different looking upper. Back in the 80s, the original pairs were recalled and redesigned / relaunched with the smaller Air unit that we know today, but this retro is a nod to one of the best little known stories surrounding the iconic Air Max lineage ever told.

Drake’s Nocta line released a special Nike Air Force 1 late last year, which I picked up through a restock a couple of weeks back. This all-white Air Force 1 Low opts for premium tumbled leather, Nocta logos found throughout, and the name of the famous children’s book, “Love You Forever”, found on the lateral midsole. Check out my detailed review and on feet look to see how these are!

Nike’s Lunar New Year collection included these Dunk Lows, which mimic the look of the 2011 Air Force 1 which also celebrated the Year of the Rabbit. With a white, blue and red makeup, these are inspired by the colour scheme of the famous Chinese candy, White Rabbit. New Balance 2002R “Sea Salt / Vintage Teal” (M2002RVD) Review

I recently picked up a general release colourway of the beloved New Balance 2002R, in “Sea Salt / Vintage Teal”. Crafted using a mix of mesh, genuine leather, nubuck and synthetic overlays, the colour blocking on this pair reminds of classic tennis trainers. Check out my in-depth review and on feet look before you decide on them for yourselves!
