Releasing earlier this month was the women’s Air Jordan 4 “Vivid Sulfur”. A twists on the colour blocking of the Fire Red 4s, these opt for bold yellow tones atop a white leather base. New Balance is dipping into their archives, going back to 1999 to bring back the 1000 silhouette. One of the first general release colourways is this one that I’m reviewing today in “Silver Metallic / Black”. A mesh upper is complimented with bold, silver synthetic leather layers, designed with a dynamic and fluid appearance. New Balance recently launched the Brights Revival pack of the 991 V2 silhouette – dropping two vibrant, bold colourways of their newest Made in England model. The pair I’m reviewing today is the “Yellow”, aka “Orange” colourway, which is crafted in a faded orange tone in a mix of pig suede, mesh and synthetic layers. Following a pre-order offered last July, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance’s latest 860 V2 collaboration finally began landing in consumers’ hands earlier this month. This three-shoe pack included the pair I’m reviewing today, which is covered in a neon yellow mesh with silver synthetic overlays – definitely a head turner. Jordan Brand kicks off 2024 with a new colourway of the iconic Air Jordan 1. This “Yellow Ochre” pair features a mix of tumbled leather, buttery smooth nubuck, in a mix of yellow, sail and black. I recently picked up a pair of the New Balance 990 V6 “Sulphur” on sale, which had previously been sitting on store shelves for weeks. This Made in USA pair, part of Teddy Santis’ Season 3 collection, features a mix of pale yellow mesh and pig suede, along with bold green accents with the New Balance “N” logo and tongue. Releasing a couple months ago as a Kith in-store exclusive, the Asics GT-2160 dropped in two Kith-exclusive colourways, including this one in “Cream / Solar Power”. This 2011-performance running shoe is now back as one of Asics’ mainstream lifestyle sneakers, featuring a mix of cream coloured mesh and synthetic silver and yellow coloured overlays. Releasing later this week is the triple collaboration between Jordan Brand, Union LA, and Bephies Beauty Supply. Headlined by two pairs of Air Jordan 1s, today I’m giving you all an early look at the Air Jordan 1 High which incorporates a woven layer, taken from the Nike Air Footscape. This pair also incorporates beautiful, tumbled sail coloured leather, grey accents and gold or yellow detailing throughout. Nike continues to pump out new colourways of the Zoom Vomero 5, which includes this one in “Yellow Strike”. This summer ready colourway is filled with bold, vibrant yellow shades, along with reflective 3M hits throughout. As always, the shoe’s exceptional comfort is due to the tech it’s filled with including a Cushlon midsole, Zoom Air under the heel and forefoot, and a lightweight mesh upper.
