One of 2024’s biggest New Balance collabs finally landed in Canada and today I’m reviewing one of the two colourways of the 990 V4 that Auralee collaborated on! The “Trooper” colourway is dressed in various shades of blue in premium suedes, mesh and reflective layers. Tune into my review to get my thoughts on these and to see how they are on feet. Saucony joined up with Parisian boutique, Starcow, to drop this masterpiece of a colourway of the Progrid Omni 9. Releasing late last week, this colourway features various shades of green along the upper in a combination of mesh, genuine suede, and more. Hints of orange provide some pop along with subtle golden accents as well. Check out my review and see how these are on feet!
Australian boutique, Up There, is set to release their latest New Balance collab, this time releasing a colourful take on the 860 V2 sneaker. Dropping at the end of October, these feature a blue mesh base, green synthetic nubuck overlays, brown detailing, and pink laces. A random mix of colours but somehow they just work! Adidas recently launched a new silhouette called the Adizero Aruku, which draws inspiration from a 2000s Japan-exclusive running shoe called the Adizero PR. Featuring Swirlfoam technology in the midsole done in a motion-promoting rocker style, these are an incredbly dynamic feeling sneaker under foot. Releasing earlier this month was the latest collab between Kith and New Balance. Dropping two pairs, this release consisted of a New Balance 1000, and the pair I’m reviewing today – the 990 V4. This “Moonrock” colourway features a dark beige mesh and suede upper, with cream accents and reflective detailing. And as always, it is made in New Balance’s USA factories. Celebrating Toronto’s diversity and multicultural make up, these feature a mix of materials like leather, nylon and 3M, in familiar skyline (and Blue Jays) colours of white, blue and red.
