In today’s video I’m reviewing a pair of the New Balance 990 V4 that has already been available overseas but not yet in North America. This Made in USA pair features a sail coloured mesh, grey suede and black overlays on one of my favourite silhouettes offered by the brand. I didn’t get a chance to review these before the year ended, but this past December, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance teamed up again to release a three-sneaker pack inspired by the late 90s, drawing colours from the movie “Belly”. Last week, Kith released their special collaboration with Madison Square Garden, dropping two colourways of the New Balance 990 V6. Inspired by the teams that call MSG home, the pair I’m reviewing today draw inspiration from the team colours of the NHL’s New York Rangers. This Made in USA pair features a predominantly navy blue upper, with the Rangers’ signature red and blue hits seen throughout, along with an icy outsole as a nod to the sport. Season 4 of Teddy Santis’ Made in USA New Balance line kicked off with these killer 990 V4s in this “Olive / Incense” colourway. These beauties feature pig suede in a beautiful faded green tone, with beige and brown hits throughout making it perfect for the fall season. I recently picked up a pair of the New Balance 990 V6 “Sulphur” on sale, which had previously been sitting on store shelves for weeks. This Made in USA pair, part of Teddy Santis’ Season 3 collection, features a mix of pale yellow mesh and pig suede, along with bold green accents with the New Balance “N” logo and tongue. Japanese label, WTAPS, is back with their third collaboration with New Balance, this time on the 990 V6 silhouette. Opting for a greyscale look, it’s built using a mix of mesh and suede in various tones of grey. Action Bronson and New Balance recently returned with their second collaboration on the 990 V6, nicknamed “Lapis Lazuli”, the vivid blue gemstone. Seemingly more well received than the first drop, this pair features various shades of blue in a mix of suede, reflective layers and mesh.
