To celebrate their newest flagship store in Osaka, Japan, Kith released this New Balance 991V2 in a familiar colour scheme. Adapting the beloved “Steel Blue” colourway onto the Made in England model, it features premium suede with mesh and synthetic leather overlays. Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance offered another trio of 860 V2s for pre-order last July, and the boldest of the bunch is what I’m reviewing for you all today. Joe Freshgood’s latest New Balance project, “Prom to Paris”, features two monochromatic 990 V6s. Today, I’m reviewing one of the two, the “Prom Blue” colourway which covers the entire sneaker with a beautiful light blue shade in a mix of materials like genuine suede and mesh. New Balance’s newest variation on their 1906 model is here – the 1906A. This version takes the tradition components of the upper and warps them, like overhanging N-Lock straps, and panels that are seemingly coming off the shoe’s upper. Concepts just released this special edition take on the New Balance 1906 called “Hours and Days”, which pays homage to its 2012 “SEAL” collab on the 999 model. Featuring a mesh base with a variety of overlays in different materials, textures and colours, these still channel the soul of the SEAL 999 even though it’s on a brand new silhouette over a decade later. UK retailer, Footpatrol, released this epic New Balance 1906R collab back in May inspired by X-Rays. This colourway features a mesh build in various blue tones, and translucent TPU overlays with white accents. A X-Ray image of a foot adorns the insole as well, tying it back to the theming perfectly. Action Bronson and New Balance have linked up again to release three colourways of the 1906R. After a limited release on his website, on July 12th there was a wider drop which included this “Medusa Azul” colourway. These are crafted out of mesh, with reflective overlays in various tones of blue and tan accents. Tune into my review of this in-demand colourway and leave your opinions down below!
