The Whitaker Group continued their ongoing partnership with New Balance, releasing two pairs of the 1906U under the collection called “Willful Bias”. Today I’m reviewing one of those two pairs – the “Electric Teal / Steel” colourway which features a futuristic colour palette with metallic silver, blue, and teal tones. New Balance is dipping into their archives, going back to 1999 to bring back the 1000 silhouette. One of the first general release colourways is this one that I’m reviewing today in “Silver Metallic / Black”. A mesh upper is complimented with bold, silver synthetic leather layers, designed with a dynamic and fluid appearance. A few weeks back, Salehe Bembury released his limited collaboration with New Balance called “Heat Be Hot”. This pack consisted of two pairs of 1906R, one called “Magma”, and the one I’m reviewing today, the “Lava” colourway. Cincinnati-based boutique, Corporate, recently released a special edition version of the Air Ship. This vibrant, modern take on this 1980s silhouette features a mix of hairy suede and flat nubuck in a “light menta” colourway.
