Montreal-based design studio, JJJJound, dropped their second collection of Asics Gel-Kayano 14s last week, with a “Baby Blue” and “Midnight Navy” colourway each selling out quick. Toronto-based brand and boutique, Better Gift Shop, just dropped their first collaboration ever with Nike. The Air Max DN8 is wrapped in grey tones, with reflective lines all throughout creating an extremely unique look. I picked up my first ever pair of the Asics Gel-Nunobiki, with this pair being part of the 6-pair collection released in collaboration with Kith. This “Delicioso / Pure Silver” colourway features a matcha-like green synthetic upper along with brown mesh and silver accents. This colourway released as part of the brand’s Grey Day collection and it features a mix of mesh, soft nubuck and suede, and reflective detailing. With New Balance bringing back the 992 from their archives, it makes sense that sneakerheads are fiending for them. Kith kicked it into hyperdrive with the release of their collab to celebrate their newest flagship in Osaka, Japan. Michael Jordan’s superstitious beliefs led him to rock his North Carolina training shorts under his Bulls shorts during NBA games. This Air Jordan 3 pays homage to that with a UNC-inspired colourway. Following up on the highly successful two pair collab from 2018, Union Los Angeles and Jordan Brand are back with another Air Jordan 1 collaboration. This 2025 edition combines the upper of the Shadow 1 with the bottom of the Chicago, bringing together two of the most beloved AJ1 colourways of all time into one. Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance offered another trio of 860 V2s for pre-order last July, and the boldest of the bunch is what I’m reviewing for you all today.
