Following a pre-order offered last July, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance’s latest 860 V2 collaboration finally began landing in consumers’ hands in late January. This three-shoe pack included the pair I’m reviewing today, which is covered in a an off-white coloured mesh with cream synthetic overlays – resulting in a tonal, simple, but easy to wear shoe. This past weekend, we saw the newest release from Jordan Brand’s “Craft” or “Handcrafted” series. These Air Jordan 3s are built using a mix of tumbled genuine leather, smooth leathers, and suede layers, in a clean and crisp colour palette with aged accents. Ronnie Fieg hit me up and sent me a pair of the upcoming Kith x Asics Gel-Lyte III “Blush”. The first in his “By Invitation Only” style of releases, these are supposedly not going to be available in store nor online – but only to those who have a special QR code invitation to purchase via the Kith mobile app. Check out my review to get a closer look at one of the most beautiful colourways I’ve seen in a while! Colour Plus Companie released their second ever collaboration with Saucony with the release of the “Beach Ramble” Grid Shadow 2. Inspired by coastal trails, this shoe takes a 90s performance running shoe and turns it into more of a trail running shoe with its material and colour choices. Supreme recently released another collaboration with Nike Skateboarding, featuring both a Dunk Low and High, inspired by the work of the late NY-based artist, Rammellzee. Featuring his artwork printed on canvas layers, the shoe is accented with bold, black suede throughout and a gum rubber outsole. Late last month, DTLR dropped their exclusive take on the New Balance 990 V3. The “Gr3yscale” colourway features a mix of mesh, suede and leather in a greyscale gradient from white to black, and like every other 990 V3, this Made in USA pair has the comfort we’ve all come to know and love from the brand. Nike’s Lunar New Year collection included these Dunk Lows, which mimic the look of the 2011 Air Force 1 which also celebrated the Year of the Rabbit. With a white, blue and red makeup, these are inspired by the colour scheme of the famous Chinese candy, White Rabbit.
