As part of Aimé Leon Dore’s Spring / Summer ’24 collection, the brand quietly released this New Balance 990 V6 “Incense” to the surprise of many. This Made in USA pair features cream, brown, and beige tones, drawing comparison to the “Mindful Grey” (Cream) general release pair from 2023. New Balance and JJJJound released their second interpretation of the 2002R silhouette, this time made for the winter weather with Gore-Tex! Two colourways released earlier this month, one in “Charcoal”, and the one I’ll be reviewing – the “Pine” colourway. This waterproof version of New Balance’s ever-popular silhouette features black mesh and plush dark green suede that looks good and also is functional!

I recently picked up a pair of women’s Dunks, in a cool colour scheme utilizing shaggy suede on the upper. This “Photon Dust / Light Armory Blue” colourway has a simple look to it but has a bit of a worn-in and aged aesthetic to it due to the use of the suede. I didn’t get a chance to review these before the year ended, but this past December, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance teamed up again to release a three-sneaker pack inspired by the late 90s, drawing colours from the movie “Belly”.
