Stray Rats and New Balance recently linked up to release a two-pack collab on the Made in England 991 model. The first of the two I’m reviewing is the “Black / Pink” colourway, which features black coloured nubuck and mesh, with reflective overlays and accents of grey and pink throughout. Montreal-based studio, JJJJound, recently teamed up with New Balance once again to release their take on the 990 V4 silhouette. Salehe Bembury’s next round of New Balance collabs recently released, with his reinvented take on the 574, named the 574 Yurt. I picked up the classic grey or “Shark Skin” colourway, which has a tonal look but incorporates a mixed bag of materials including suede, leather and mesh, and a very unique functional whistle found on the heel.
